What to Expect at MapleTree Center
Care at MapleTree Center is collaborative.
We take your decisions and input seriously. Your psychologist may suggest approaches or changes to support your progress.
When both the client and psychologist agree, your psychologist may work with family members, education systems, and/or multidisciplinary healthcare teams to augment progress.
Our psychologists also consult other experts and hone their skillset to ensure that the care you receive is effective, efficient, and resourceful.
We meet you where you are at:
We recognize that every client’s experience is different. No two people are alike.
• We offer services in an accessible setting that is adaptable and guided by your needs, circumstances, and other influences.
• We provide a safe and supportive space to work through painful/distressing experiences, and improve wellbeing.
• What you share with us is confidential, except in cases of risk to self/others or legal requirements.
• We respect and make space for the time and effort it takes to make meaningful change.
Your First Session
After reviewing details of our consent form, you and your psychologist will discuss your concerns and background. Your psychologist may offer recommendations and a personalized care plan at the end of the session. This session is also an opportunity for you to experience and set expectations for the service and your relationship with your psychologist.
Ongoing Sessions
Psychologists at MapleTree Psychotherapy Center typically offer support across a few sessions. The frequency of these sessions is discussed with your psychologist to determine what best meets your needs. Sessions typically range from multiple times a week to weekly (typical) to eventually monthly check-ins.
