Services offered in English
My therapeutic work provides clients with a safe, warm, compassionate, and non‑judgmental space to explore their experiences, understand their challenges, and process difficult past events. I support adolescents and adults in Dubai to clarify their values and strengthen their connection to them, helping individuals develop effective strategies that promote compassion, confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
I also work extensively with individuals in high‑pressure corporate environments, supporting them to manage stress, maintain psychological wellbeing, and navigate demanding professional contexts, specifically in the UAE. In addition, I have specialised expertise in working with neurodiverse adults, particularly those with a late diagnosis, guiding them as they make sense of their experiences and develop approaches that support their daily functioning and identity.
My therapeutic approach integrates compassion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I am trained in EMDR and frequently use this modality in trauma-focused work. Drawing on my training in systemic therapy, I also work with couples to understand relational patterns, manage complex dynamics, and foster healthier interactions.
My Areas of Interest Include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Neurodiversity
- Stress
- Trauma
- Corporate wellbeing
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Post‑natal support
Assessments
My Assessment Approach
As an assessor, I specialise in evaluating adults for potential neurodevelopmental conditions, broader psychological wellbeing, and cognitive profiles in Dubai. My assessment process is collaborative and centred on each client’s needs, goals, and lived experiences. I draw on multiple sources of information, including standardised tests, qualitative data, and corroborative input from family members where appropriate, to build a comprehensive understanding of both challenges and strengths.
I believe assessments should empower individuals by offering clarity, supporting current and future needs, and highlighting aspects of identity that may benefit from tailored guidance or intervention.
Assessment Types
My assessment services include a consultation stage, structured data collection (testing), a detailed report, followed by a feedback session.
The assessments I offer are:
I believe therapy can be hard work at times, but I also believe that with the right therapeutic connection, an individual can move on from hurts, reframe their outlook, and live intentionally. I love my work, and I strive to help individuals meet their goals.
My Qualifications
I am licensed as a Clinical Psychologist by the Dubai Health Authority (UAE) and the Health and Care Professions Council (United Kingdom).
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psy) from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and have accredited professional training in Systemic Family Therapy from the Tavistock and Portman Clinic in London. I have completed Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) training, as well as Level 2 training in Compassion‑Focused Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
With over 17 years of experience across public and private mental health settings including hospitals, clinics, and research teams, I bring extensive clinical expertise. Working in Dubai and online within the GCC area has allowed me to continuously develop my practice, and increase my understanding of those working and living in the region. Alongside my clinical work, I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Abu Dhabi University, contributing to student learning and academic research through published work.
