Individual short term and long term psychotherapy for adults (18+), couples and parents. Services offered in English

Working as an integrative practitioner, I draw on a range of different psychological approaches to tailor therapy to each individual client’s needs, rather than using one standardised approach for everyone.

More specifically my work is informed by attachment-based and systemic approaches, alongside other evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Attachment approaches help us understand the way in which our early life experiences and relationships can influence how we perceive ourselves and how we relate to those around us. Systemic approaches consider the wider context of our relationships, family and circumstances. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) provide practical strategies to help us understand our thoughts and feelings, manage difficult emotions and make changes that are meaningful. I also have training in EMDR, which can help people work through distressing or traumatic experiences. In family work, I draw on Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to help parents understand their child’s emotional needs and strengthen their relationship.

I provide online therapy to adults, couples and parents in Dubai, creating a compassionate and non-judgemental space where people can feel respected and supported as they work towards their therapeutic goals.

With over 25 years’ experience as a Clinical Psychologist, I have worked in the UK and internationally, including the past seven years in Dubai. Working with people from different backgrounds and cultures has played an important part of my experience and been pivotal in the way I have come to approach therapy.

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative and tailored to the individual. This means understanding the difficulties someone is experiencing within the context of their own unique life and relationships and what is important to them.

I work with adults experiencing difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress, emotional burnout, trauma and low self-esteem as well as other significant life challenges. Recent years have seen me develop a specialist interest in neurodiversity, particularly autism and ADHD and supporting adults who are exploring or understanding their neurodivergence later in life.

Parenting Support

Parenting can be challenging, particularly when a child is experiencing difficulties at home or school. I support parents, including families navigating autism or ADHD, to better understand their child and find ways of responding that feel more manageable.

Couples Therapy

I often work with couples experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection or other relationship difficulties. In my couples’ work, I draw on Gottman Method approaches to help couples communicate their needs more effectively, find more positive and effective ways of relating to one another and strengthen their sense of connection.
