Dr. Hanadi Beydoun, M.A., (LEB)

Psychologist

Individual short and long term psychotherapy for adults.
Services offered in English and Arabic.

My approach

My foundational approach is psychodynamic relational therapy, with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Experiential Psychodynamic Therapy (AEDP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

In session, I aim to cultivate a genuine, supportive connection, offering a safe and nurturing space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings . I see anxiety and depression as important signals that point to emotions that haven’t yet been fully experienced. Together, we will identify these signals, explore different parts of yourself and make sense of how your past experiences shape your current emotional experiences and behaviors. By walking this journey together, we will uncover and address the deeper issues that might be affecting your well-being, helping you develop healthier and more fulfilling patterns in your life.

My areas of interest include:

I work with the belief that the experience of ‘undoing aloneness’ lies at the heart of therapeutic change.

My Qualifications and Trainings:
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology   My specialized training includes Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Accelerated Experiential Psychodynamic Therapy (AEDP). Over the past 8 years, I have worked in private practice offering services to a diverse range of individuals and have also conducted clinical supervision and training for the digitalized mental health program Step by Step in Lebanon. Additionally, I have collaborated with international NGOs including Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Green Peace, and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Emotional Wellbeing Check

An Emotional Wellbeing Check is a 30 minute consultation to give you an overview of how you are doing with your psychological wellbeing. It will highlight key areas of your wellness and give an indication as to whether there are any areas of your life that would benefit from some attention. Like any other health check up, an emotional wellbeing check is an important part of staying on top of your mental health. With no commitment to engaging in regular therapy, this service offers a useful measure of your overall emotional wellbeing.

When might an emotional wellbeing check be beneficial?

  • Something feels “off”, but you can’t quite put your finger on what it is
  • You are considering embarking on therapy, but you remain uncertain as to whether this would be beneficial for you
  • You have a history of mental health difficulties and want to stay on top of your emotional wellbeing

Following the wellbeing check you will be provided with a brief summary report with recommendations from Dr Shamarel. As this is not a service that insurance companies typically reimburse for, you will not be given a formal diagnosis.
