It’s Not About Trying Harder — It’s About Seeing the Full Picture
For many, the struggle to focus isn’t about laziness or lack of willpower. It’s the quiet chaos of trying to keep track of thoughts that scatter too quickly, emotions that feel too intense, or motivation that disappears without warning. Whether you’ve wondered about ADHD for years, or only recently recognized the signs in yourself or someone close to you — you’re not alone in asking: Could there be something more going on?
At MapleTree Psychotherapy Center in Dubai, we offer ADHD and attention-related assessments that go beyond surface behaviors. We look at patterns, history, emotions, and context — because attention is never just about focus. It’s about regulation, overwhelm, and how the nervous system moves through the world.
Separation and divorce bring up all kinds of emotions — grief, anger, fear, confusion — and when children are involved, those emotions become even more complex. Co-parenting isn’t just about schedules or logistics. It’s about learning to work as a team again, even when the relationship has changed.
At MapleTree Psychotherapy Center in Dubai, we support families navigating the emotional and practical challenges of co-parenting. Whether you’re recently separated, are years into a shared parenting arrangement, or trying to protect your child’s emotional wellbeing through a difficult transition — our role is to help you create a calmer, more cooperative path forward.

What We Explore Through ADHD & Attention Assessments
These assessments are not about labeling — they’re about untangling the why behind the struggle.
We explore:
- Difficulty with sustained focus, follow-through, or organization
- Emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, or sensory sensitivity
- Restlessness, distractibility, or an inner sense of chaos
- Patterns of burnout, disorganization, or chronic procrastination
- Past experiences of being misunderstood, mislabeled, or dismissed
- How these attention patterns impact relationships, work, school, or self-worth
For many adults and adolescents, ADHD symptoms have been masked, misdiagnosed, or internalized as character flaws. Our process is designed to be clarifying, not shaming.
Our Assessment Approach
We offer a thoughtful, layered approach to attention-related concerns.
Our work involves an integrated diagnostic approach, which includes (as needed):
- Multi-source and multi-method investigation, that facilitates development of a thorough and objective understanding of ADHD experiences and their root causes.
- Personalized process, where each evaluation is tailored to the individual’s unique concerns, history, and goals—ensuring meaningful insights and personalized recommendations for care.
- Standardized attention tests, such as the Conners, Vanderbilt, or continuous performance tasks (such as the TOVA), and D-KEFS
- Collaborative interpretation, ensuring that findings are shared in a grounded, emotionally attuned space
- Cultural sensitivity, particularly for individuals navigating ADHD in multilingual, multicultural, or high-expectation environments like Dubai
Assessment isn’t the end — it’s the beginning of better understanding how your brain works, and what support might actually help. Clients often feel relieved and reassured by the results, and value the personalized, evidence-based interventions and strategies that follow.
